Many people liked my Tiger costume, and got many questions about the painting too.
I will try to show you the basic process in this video. It's only for the face, but painting the body is the same, except that you will need a friend to help you painting areas you can't reach.
Note: well, I accidentally bit my lip the other day before (don't laugh D: ), and the wound was still visible when I was making this video... meh... try to ignore this... D:

MondoCon is over, it was awesome - again
I will get my Ysera (and Batgirl - but don't have many of her) photos soon.

I know, propably you are tired of this song already, but I coulldn't resist.... OPPA (Mondo) GANGNAM STYLE!
I made this video with my friends, it was a lot of fun! ^^ This is the 2nd video I ever made, so it has a few mistakes, but I like it a lot anyways

Well, MondoCon is right around the corner, so I have to finish everything for this weekend!
I am gonna wear 2 costumes again: Ysera on Saturday, and Batgirl on Sunday

Ysera is almost finished, I just have to add a few details, and fix some parts, but it will be ready in time I guess.

Me and my friends were visiting the MCM London Expo in 2011 October.
I loved this convention (I was there in 2010 too, when I was one of the Eurocosplay contestants), and I just had to visit it again!
I was wearing my Kirin armor on Saturday, and my Nightelf costume at Sunday.

Finally I found the time to write a few lines about the convention I attended at the end of August, the AniNite 2012 in Vienna, Austria.

I was a quest and part of the Cosplay Jury, there was a cosplay competition on every day of the convention.
I really enjoyed these 3 days, met many awesome cosplayers and nice people! And not to forget my friends who accompanied me, it was really fun!

I took 3 costumes with me, but I tried to stick with simple ones, because my suitcase had it's limits. I choose Vanille (FFXIII) and Rainbow Dash (MLP), because they don't need much space, and could bring them along easily.  
And I decided to wear my half-finished Ysera costume too (without bodypaint, and without some missing parts), because I wanted to test the armor fastenings before I wear the full costume in October at MondoCon in Hungary.



There were so many costumes I really liked at the convention, and so many nice people I met, but sadly I don't have a photo from all of them, but I would like to share some with you. I don't know if all of the people on the photos have an account here on DA, but if you recognize anyone, please let me know, so I can put their names/account in here. =^.^=

Final Fantasy XIV Group – & her twin sister, and their 3rd member, the chocobo
They were my absolute favorites (I was in love *lol*) Not because I was playing FFXI Online for the past 3-4 years (FFXIV is very similar to that), and I am still in love with it. Their costumes were great, they really suited the characters they have choosen, and they had a really nice performance on the stage.


Aion. Unfortunately I don't have a photo from both girls, because I found only one of the sisters  after the competition.
But both of them had nice costumes, and they were really kind too!


I loved these costumes too!
I was surprised that the cosplayer on the left was actually a girl. I didn't realized it till the first time she talked ^.^"


This was my favorite spot, because the weather was really hot, so we could chill a little


N7 armor ^.^ (I am still wondering if I should make a female version of this...)
Sometimes is just easier to take photos with others when I am NOT in a costume, lol.

Ok, I am not a big fan of the Naruto series but… this kid was just awesome. He is only 12 years old, but he has got awesome theater skills.
I never tought I could enjoy a Naruto skit this much (the writer of the skit did a great job too of course).


This is not really a cosplay but… it was so cute! Her name is Sydney, and as you can see, she is a fox. And a really cute one (that's sooo girly I know, but I... couldn't... resist... ). Her owner was really good with performing. ^^


It's over 9000! Oh, and did I ever mentioned that trolls just love my Dashie cosplay? lol
(Ok, he was a nice troll )


I was really surprised there were people who recognized me (I mean not the character, I mean... me)! =^.^=

My next convention is MondoCon in Budapest, 13-14. October - I am looking forward to meet some of you there! =^.^=

Sorry for the lack of updates, and for not answering messages lately, it just happened that I got a new job in a bigger company, and tomorrow is my first day.
Sooo I am a little bit nervous, meeting all the new people and such. I will try to catch up as soon as possible!

But I will be back soon with new progress photos!
Ysera is coming along nicely, and I started working on another costume too (it's a .Hack character), which I should finish in 4 weeks for a convention, but not sure if I can do that lol. We will see

Another news is, that I finally got some wonderflex. I wanted to try this material for such a long time (for years), but the price always scared me off. But now I decided to try it.
Right now I am using as little amount of it as necessery, but I have a costume in mind, where I will need lots of it. So I will just practice working with it on my current two costumes. I will add some progress photos soon, along with the finished pieces.

Ah, and to the haters who just began gathering here lately (and registering to DA only just to leave "comments" on one specific photo) :
We may see things differently and may have different preferences. If you don't like my photos, that's ok. There is always the option to move on, and look at other pictures you like. I don't say that you can't leave comments where you present your opinion, because you can do that. But I don't think it's necessery to over-react and making such a fuss about it. Because the way you do it, that's just childish.
(Not to mention the image people get from you, based on your attitude - but that shouldn't be my problem I guess).
But well, that's the internet for you!

My new wig arrived today! \o/
I think some of you can already guess, it's for Rainbow Dash (MLP)!

I have already started working on my Ysera costume, and don't want to work on two difficult costumes at the same time, so I wanted to choose a less complicated costume for Mondocon in summer.
Well, I still have to come up with a design for the dress... I have some ideas, but still not sure.

Ok, this time some girly-stuff ^^
Gemstones for cosplay!

I am experimenting with gemstone making lately, because I will need them for my new cosplay project.

I used resin and glass paint for the first experiments, because I didn't have resin dye at the moment.
Well, let's say that glass paint worked for the first try, however it was not perfect. Sometimes colors were fading, or changing. But I think this fact is acceptable, glass paint is not for coloring resin after all.

Don't forget protection while working with resin!
The fumes are not good for your lungs (and skin) :<






I think my results are not bad for the first try
However, I will stop using glass paint, and will buy the resin dye, to make sure the colors turn out the way I want them.

I am trying to refine my technics, and maybe - if there is some interest - I am gonna accept orders for gemstones like this.







Variations for green (because I will need a green-ish color for my new costume):

This what I am currently working on, my Tiger Project ♥

Because I found the bodypaint very interesting last time (see my nightelf costume ---> [link] ), I wanted to try something more complicated.
I came up with an original tiger design, and it will be really fun I think

NOTE: bodypaint, dress and wig is NOT complete here! Details are still missing, and the bodypaint will be more clean and detailed, and full-body of course (as you can see it on the picture, there are some spots where the paint is missing, this was only a test)!

I am back from the London MCM Expo, it was an awesome weekend!
I had a lot of fun! Met old and new friends, and saw lots of awesome costumes!

Aaaaand I won "Best Expert" at the Masquerade at Sunday! I am really happy!

I am missing all the people I met there and the Expo already!

First of all, sorry for not answering messages or comments lately, I was very busy with various things, and now I am packing for London.

Yes, it's time for the MCM Expo!
I am bringing two costumes with, my Kirin armor for Saturday (but without any weapons this time, doesn't fit in my suitcase D: ), and my Nightelf for Sunday.
On Saturday I am gonna help one of my friends (Rhysa), who takes part at the Eurocosplay Finals, with bodypaint, etc.
And I signed up for the cosplay competition just for fun, expert cathegory on Sunday. ^^

I am looking forward to it, and I hope that my bow arrives without any damage
Only a few hours before I leave, and I am afraid of airplanes D:

Because DA is not the best place for posting my progress pics I guess, I will post these on Facebook from now on.
That will be the place for some other photos too, that are not so "artistic", but I would like to share in some form.

After 6 months (!) I finally got the permission to enter a specific building, for my Kos-Mos photoshoot... And guess what happens... I am sick right now (catched a cold at the weekend) ;_;
I have 3 days to get well... I could attend the photoshoot even if I am ill, but you never look good when you are ill
I waited more then 6 months for this, and I can't delay it till I get well. ;_;

6 hónap várakozás után végre megkaptam az engedélyt, hogy fotózhassunk egy bizonyos épületben... És mi történik? Lebetegszek (sikeresen megfáztam a hétvégén). ;_;
Három napom van, hogy összekapjam magam... Igaz betegen is mehetnék fotózni, de mit ér az egész, ha pocsékul fest az ember a képeken, betegen.
6 hónapot vártam erre az egészre, és az időpontot átmozgatni nem lehet. ;_;

Well, I think I managed to upload most of my photos. Only 3 more costumes to go, and I will have them complete.
So the photo spam will stop soon

Well, even tough I registered myself back then in 2007, I didn't touched my gallery, don't ask why O_o;
So it's time to make something out if I guess

I started to upload some of my older photos, and moving slowly towards the new ones.
